Me and Erin have been trying to schedule a time for here to come to New York for years, and this past weekend she finally made it down with Kara, timed perfectly with me finally being 21.
They got here Friday night and we went right down to Otto in Greenwich Village (bags and all) and had the most delicious meal together. We split a bottle of wine and got our own pizzas. And Otto has the most delicious Caprese salad. Seriously.

We got back to the Bronx late Friday night and basically passed out. On Saturday morning we made our way down to the Meatpacking District for Brunch at Dublin 6. It was everything. Breakfast cocktails. Eggs and sausage and breakfast burritos and it was incredibly affordable.

We walked over to the High Line, somewhere Erin had been dying to go, and then made it to the High Line Hotel for coffee just in time to dodge a quick rain storm. After we finished our coffee we wandered over to Chelsea Market.

I've been to Chelsea Market a few times this year and I've always been so impressed by it, but it turns out I had barely scratched the surface. We stumbled upon the Filling Station and had a craft beer love affair on the spot. I'm also going to make my parents take me back because there is so much I need to explore.

We got back to the Bronx and inhaled some pizza and headed to the Beer Hall for more craft beers. I finally got to try pumpkin beer, before the season was over. We met up with Kaitie and Scott and hung out for a while, and I was so so happy my two sets of friends got along.

After we went back to my apartment we sat in the living room for hours just talking. The entire weekend was just full of so many good talks. My heart was so full and so happy when they left. I'm incredibly lucky to have such great friends, especially ones who will drive across the east coast to see me.
COME BACK SOON
